I am completely and utterly inspired by you. My son who is 5, goes to school, which he hates and i don’t blame him for hating. But each time i think about home schooling i have no idea how to sustain it and see it through. My hat goes off to you. Asher and avy and wonderful, curious magical children. God bless them.

Just wanted to say thanks for the lovely comment! I also wanted to encourage you in whatever you decide to do with your son. My son and daughter went to a Montessori school until 2 years ago, when my son (then 9) started hating it. We had considered home schooling from the start, but I hadn’t been ready for it and had many fears, one of them being how one goes about sustaining it. We just decided to try it, taking it one day at a time. But then we all fell in love with it! It’s not always easy, but the rewards (mainly getting to spend so much time with the kids) are immense. One of the things that I did when we were considering home schooling, was to read a lot of home schooling blogs. But don’t be caught up in “I could never do that!” because we all home school differently. And that’s the great part about home schooling. You can do whatever works for you and your kids, and that’s different in every family!

    Thanks! Lisa
